WMPTE: December 1976
New and improved bus services for the Stourbridge Area start on Sunday 5th December 1976.
As part of the new system, developed by West Midlands Passenger Transport after a close study of the area's public travel requirements there will be many new links, examples being:
From NORTON and HIGH PARK passengers can now travel direct to Amblecote and Brierley Hill. From PEDMORE and WYNALL passengers can now travel direct to Brierley Hill, Dudley and Halesowen. There will also be direct services to Stourbridge Junction Station to link with the local rail service.
From WALLHEATH passengers can now travel direct to Gornal and Dudley.
The new ASHWOOD PARK services provide direct facilities to Brierley Hill, Dudley, Amblecote and Stourbridge.
Other services in the Stourbridge Area will run more frequently.
The 'S' series of service numbers for Stourbridge local services has been discontinued as part of an overall plan for a common series of numbers throughout the West Midlands.
This leaflet gives details of the new services and train timetables. Please use it, and the map in the centre of the leaflet, to see how the new bus routes can best serve you.
