Following National Express West Midlands’ recent consultation on possible changes to bus services in West Dudley, Wolverhampton and Staffordshire, the following changes will take place from 26 January 2020.
In direct response to feedback, National Express West Midlands have changed the original proposals to include the following:
- Himley will continue to be served by the revised Service 15. Buses will run every 20 minutes to Wolverhampton and Merry Hill (also serving Wombourne, Wall Heath and Kingswinford).
- Gornal and Stickley will still be linked directly to Stourbridge on Service 17 and new Service 17A.
- Gornal and Stickley will still be linked to Dudley along the current route of Service 17 (through Milking Bank).
Further information can be found below or on National Express West Midlands Service Changes Page.
5: Dudley - Kingswinford
- Service 5 will still run every hour between Dudley and Kingswinford. Some peak journeys will extend to Wall Heath.
- Between Stourbridge and Kingswinford, Service 5 will be replaced by the new Service 17, which will continue beyond Kingswinford to Wall Heath, Gornal and Dudley.
8: Wolverhampton to Wollaston Farm
- Service 8 will continue to run between Wollaston Farm, Stourbridge, Merry Hill and Dudley, up to every 20 minutes.

- In Wren's Nest, Service 8 will be replaced by Services 27/27A and 81. Service 82 will be unchanged and still serve Wren's Nest.
- Services 27/27A and 81 will combine to run every 15 minutes between Dudley and Wren's Nest. Buses will run along Priory Road, Hazel Road, Laurel Road, Summer Road, Wren's Nest Road, Old Park Road and Burton Road.
- Services 27/27A will continue along Jews Lane towards Gornal. Service 81 will continue along Eve Lane and Parkes Hall Road towards Roseville.
- Old Park Road, Burton Road and Eve Lane will now be served in both directions rather than on a one way loop.
- New direct links between Wollaston Farm, Stourbridge and Merry Hill to Birmingham New Road, Roseville and Wolverhampton – every 20 minutes.
16: Stourbridge - Wolverhampton
- Service 16 will run more often – up to every 20 minutes.
- Buses will run more frequently between Wolverhampton, Wombourne, Wall Heath and Kingswinford. Services 15 and 16 combined will run up to every 10 minutes.
- Service 16 will be changed to serve Swindon and Hinksford instead of Himley. Himley will still be served, but by the revised Service 15.

17: Stourbridge - Dudley
- Service 17 will continue to run between Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Wall Heath, Gornal, Stickley, Milking Bank and Dudley.

17A: Stourbridge - Dudley
- The current Service 17A between Stourbridge and Wall Heath will be changed to service number 57 and run to a different timetable. This is because changes to the main 17 service to Dudley will mean that a 17A variant of the route will be introduced.
