Buses Magazine - January 1974
On the 3rd December 1973, the WMPTE, which was formed in 1969, took control of all Midland Red Services which operated wholly in the West Midlands area, which included Stourbridge.

The Midland Red also transferred 413 of their vehicles as well as depots in the Midlands area to the WMPTE.
