Bus Station Redevelopment
Details:
Dudley Bus Station will be closed for approximately 30 months while construction of the new interchange takes place. A provisional date for opening of the new bus station and Metro line is 01 November 2026.
Whilst the redevelopment takes place, services using the bus station will need to use temporary stops on Tower Street, Ednam Road, Priory Road, New Street, Castle Street & The Broadway.
Below is a list of which stops bus services towards Stourbridge will be using.
Service 6 Stop DY3 situated on Tower Street
Service 7 Stop DY2 situated on Tower Street
Service 8 Stop DY2 situated on Tower Street
Service 17 / 17A / 17S Stop DY11 situated on New Street
Service 25 Stop DY2 situated on Tower Street

Details:
The Embankment will be closed in one direction due to water main / Midland Metro Works works. During this time, service 8 will be diverted.
Heading towards Wollaston Farm: Buses will be diverted via Waterfront Way, Level Street, Dudley Way, Central Way and The Embankment then normal line of route.
Heading towards Wolverhampton: Buses will follow the normal line of route.

Carriageway Resurfacing Works
Details:
Trindle Road will be closed in one direction between Hall Street and Castle Hill for carriageway resurfacing works. During this time, service 7 will be diverted.
Service 7 towards Dudley: Buses will be diverted from Hall Street, left King Street, right Vicar Street, left High Street, right Stafford Street, right The Inhedge, continue Parsons Street, continue Ednam Road, and right Priory Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service 7 towards Stourbridge: Buses will follow the normal line of route.
Service 7 towards Dudley: Buses will be diverted from Hall Street, left King Street, right Vicar Street, left High Street, right Stafford Street, right The Inhedge, continue Parsons Street, continue Ednam Road, and right Priory Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Carriageway Resurfacing Works
Details:
Between 19:00 and 03:00 each day, Queens Cross will be closed between Aston Road and King Street for carriageway resurfacing works. During this time, services 6 and 8 will be diverted.
Services 6 towards Dudley / Service 8 towards Wolverhampton: Buses will be diverted via Stourbridge Road, Wellington Road, Southalls Lane, Wolverhampton Street and Parsons Street then normal line of route.
Service 6 towards Stourbridge: Buses will be diverted via Wolverhampton Street, Southalls Lane, Wellington Road and Stourbridge Road then normal line of route.
Service 8 towards Stourbridge: Buses will be diverted via Wolverhampton Street, Southalls Lane, Wellington Road, Aston Road and Blowers Green Road then normal line of route.

Details:
From the start of service on Sunday 04 October until approximately 12.30pm on Thursday 08 October, Broad Street will be closed between Oozells Way and Lyons Queensway whilst the Conservative Party Conference takes place.
During this time, service 9, will be diverted.
Service 9 to Stourbridge: Buses will be diverted from Great Charles Street Queensway, right Sandpits Parade, left Clement Street, continue St Vincent Street, left Sheepcote Street to roundabout, second exit Oozells Way, and right Broad Street to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service 9 to Birmingham: Buses will be diverted from Broad Street, left Oozells Way to roundabout, second exit Sheepcote Street, right St Vincent Street, right King Edwards Road, continue Cambridge Street, and left Lyons Queensway to rejoin the normal line of route.
During this time, service 9, will be diverted.
